I confirm my data is backed up and I understand the risks of hard disk failure can lead to loss of data and under no circumstances are Zeff IT liable for any data loss whatsoever.
I understand that the time it takes to diagnose and/or repair my device is unpredictable and any times quoted are based on a best guess of the work involved and is not a guarantee of how long it can take.
If you cancel your repair after we have started the repair you will be liable to make payment of any parts ordered for your repair and a calculation of the cost of labour to the maximum of the agreed quoted cost of repair will be charged. We will not release any item back to you until payment in full is received.
I understand that although everything possible is done to ensure my device is not damaged during diagnosis/repair, some non-serviceable and sealed devices (such as iPads / Tablets / Cameras etc) are impossible to dismantle for diagnosis or repair without physically damaging the device to gain entry into it and the worse case cost will be included in the quote to repair your device.
We do not have specific knowledge of your computer and its configuration. Whilst we use our best efforts to minimise disruption to your system, we cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen consequences of our services including any loss or corruption of data, information or records; any loss of goodwill, or any loss of business or contracts; any failure by you to follow our reasonable advice, recommendations or instructions; any losses you may suffer arising from your use (or failure to use) any anti-virus and internet security software and any loss that is not reasonably foreseeable.
I understand I will not receive my repaired device until payment is received in full.
If I leave my device for more than 60 days without prior arrangements it is considered abandoned and my device will be recycled, resold to recover costs or disposed of.
I understand if my device's operating system is reloaded, programs such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Anti-Virus Software etc may not be present on receipt of my repaired device and I understand I will need to provide the original installation media if Zeff IT is to re-install my software.

When Zeff IT takes on your device for repair there are many situations that we are unable to test for before we start the repair and this disclaimer is in place to protect yourself and ourselves from any potential misunderstandings.
I understand Zeff IT will be unaware of any potential problems that may arise as a result of the initial damage and the repair costs and diagnosis may differ to the reported fault(s). We will endeavour to make you aware of this at the time of repair/diagnosis.
I understand in order to diagnose your device Zeff IT may need to dismantle your device including removing and disturbing internal components such as logic boards & cables. Unforeseen issues can arise from this process which could lead to loss of functionality (i.e. Fingerprint ID stop working). We will endeavour to make you aware of this at the time of repair/diagnosis.
Potential unforeseen issues and/or damage from any type of impact which cannot be diagnosed:
Small micro deposits of liquid can be present inside your device causing corrosion. This can cause connections to not re-connect correctly when putting your device back together.
Screen Failure and Touch Screen may stop responding
Fingerprint Sensor Failure
Casing Damage / Bent Chassis may result in a new chassis being required.
Front/Back Camera Failure
Home Button / Lock / Volume / Off button Failure
Smart Lock may stop working after replacing screen (lock sensor is built into a broken screen which sometimes cannot be re-used).
We use OEM THIRD-PARTY PARTS and these are not officially endorsed by Apple. If you prefer an original Apple part only Apple in Southampton can supply this. For your total peace of mind, all our parts are guaranteed for a minimum of 30 days.
Apple may refuse to undertake any work on your device if it is repaired by anyone other than Apple. This includes both in-warranty and out-of-warranty repairs.
To repair your device, we need to physically get inside it which usually means we have to break any waterproof seals (if any). Some items that are classed as waterproof/water-resistant may not be waterproof on return to you. If this will affect the enjoyment of your device please only ensure you get it repaired with the manufacturer.
Any device that is found to have any signs of liquid damage internally will be exempt from any warranties offered. Only after speaking with you will we continue with the repair.
It is YOUR responsibility to ensure your data is backed up prior to repair. Zeff IT will not be liable for loss of data whatsoever.
